Your help is needed to determine the economic viability of producing plastic lumber products in Vermont made from agricultural waste plastics.

The Agencies of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and a Tuck Business School intern are surveying potential users of building materials to determine the economic viability of opening a manufacturing facility in Vermont to recycle agricultural film plastic waste into plastic lumber*.

To help with our market study, please take 5-10 minutes to fill out our online survey:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=feV6FD1rZJs6alMbXXbC0w_3d_3d

To have a copy of the survey mailed to you, please call Anne Macmillan at the Agency of Agriculture (802) 828-3479 or email anne.macmillan@state.vt.us.

* A Canadian company, Think Plastics, is looking to franchise its technology to manufacture Baleboard® -- a 100% plastic lumber product made from agricultural film plastics. This product, which could be made from Vermont-generated plastic film is an environmentally-friendly alternative to wood and wood composites. See http://thinkplastics.ca/baleboard/pages/bb_products.html for a list of available products.

Please complete the survey by August 15th 2008
All responses will be entered in a drawing to win a gallon of 2008 Vermont maple syrup!
