Montpelier, Vt. – Farm Energy Handbook: Due to high interest in renewable energy after VEC’s influential Agriculture and the Environment conference, and numerous calls to the Vermont Agency of Agriculture, a group of interested parties created the first comprehensive guide to every renewable energy option available to Vermont farmers. With contributions and consultation from 24 experts in every renewable technology and feedstock, the 65-page, illustrated book is intended to help farmers develop on-farm energy resources.

Also a useful resource for program administrators, educators, planners, and rural landowners, the book is now available from the Vermont Agency of Agriculture. Books can be purchased from the Agency of Agriculture by emailing your request to Diane.Bothfeld@state.vt.us. Books are $10.00 which includes postage and handling.
