Raw Milk & Dairy Product Quality Enforcement Program

These multi-faceted regulatory programs are intertwined and provide an oversight from the milking animal to the retail consumer. The programs ensure all dairy farms, dairy processing plants, milk pasteurization systems, and associated transportation and processing mechanisms are inspected at required intervals to ensure public health. The programs also provide guidance and technical assistance to the regulated industry. Supporting the regulatory inspection programs is the Raw Milk and Dairy Product Enforcement Program which ensures all raw milk and finished dairy products for human consumption are sampled and analyzed microbially, chemically, and compositionally at required intervals.
