First, find out what’s available locally with this Season Availability Guide! And when foods are abundant in season, preserve the harvest. Find out how at the National Center for Home Preservation and keep your eyes open for classes offered by community groups, schools, stores, and other educators in your area.

Another way to follow the season is through recipes provided by Community Supported Agriculture. If you have a subscription, then you may receive written or e-mailed recipe tips. You can also check online CSA newsletters at the many farm websites now available.
