As you know, the Vermont Agency of Agriculture has made some substantial changes in the  program. The changes are meant to better reflect the impact of Vermont's extended agricultural community on the state's economy and its citizens. The changes are also meant to make the program more marketing-oriented than before.
The old inspection-based program was severely restricted in its potential for growth, and systematically excluded substantial segments of the state's agricultural economy. Doesn't Vermont agriculture need all the friends it can get?
