- Judges should meet as a group prior to meeting with the applicants. Review applications and discuss the method of questioning.
- Judges will interview all applicants at 6:00 p.m. Questions to individuals should include the following:
- Questions pertaining to the applicant's area of expertise.
- Questions regarding Vermont's agriculture in general.
- Questions addressing their future goals and involvement in Vermont agriculture.
- Judges should observe the applicant's poise, ability to express their thoughts to others, ability to present to strangers, both in the interview and addressing the audience at the presentation.
- Judges should assess the applicant's availability to serve as a youth spokesperson for Vermont Agriculture.
