**The Department has developed a pesticide use computer data base, and compiled the information from pesticide use reports submitted by certified commercial and noncommercial applicators. This database was used to prepare this annual report summarizing, quantity of pesticides used, and category of applicator or host group and county of application. The data summarizes the information received regarding pesticide sales and usage as reported to the Department by the regulated community. The Department cannot attest to the accuracy of the information contained in these data summaries. Users of the data are cautioned against the use of the data to draw specific conclusions regarding pesticide sales and use in Vermont. The Department accepts data from the regulated community on handwritten forms possibly contributing to data entry errors. The data in these reports are from commercial and non commercial applicators who are required to report all pesticide use annually with the Department. The data have been collected from use reports filed by businesses that hold valid Vermont pesticide business licenses and by individuals with commercial applicator certification. It is our best effort to insure data accuracy but some errors may persist.
