Pesticide Credits Schedule

Pesticide applicator certification in Vermont extends for a five year period. The five year period begins the year the exams were taken and successfully passed. Recertification after five years requires either retaking the exam(s), or accumulating recertification credits.

Private pesticide applicators must acquire a minimum of (8) eight credits in each commodity group in which they are certified. Commercial/non-commercial pesticide applicators need to earn (16) sixteen credits per category.

Pesticide applicators with reciprocal certification are not required to accumulate credits for Vermont certification. Please read your own state's rules and regulations regarding the pesticide recertification policy. Commercial and non-commercial applicators may check their credits in our Certified Pesticide Applicators Database.

The following schedule of meetings was approved for credit in Vermont. All certified Vermont applicators requesting credits are required to submit proof of attendance to the Agency immediately following the session. The only acceptable proof is an attendance form signed by the monitoring agency or meeting sponsor. If you attend a meeting that has not received prior credit approval, you must submit a detailed agenda for the meeting, along with proof of attendance.

Please contact Matthew Wood at 802-828-3482 or matthew.wood@state.vt.us with questions.
