Animal Health Laboratory
  
The Animal Health Laboratory tests blood serum from livestock for presence of various diseases. Samples are collected by animal health specialists.
Brucellosis: (aka Bangs disease: Bacterial disease found mainly in cattle. Also tested for in milk. Tested by anitgen agglutination.
Pullorum Typhoid: Bacterial disease affecting avian livestock. Tested in the field using agglutination.
Pseudorabies (PR): Herpes virus affecting pigs. Tested by latex agglutination.
Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA): Retrovirus affecting horses. Coggins test using EIA antibody presence.
Mastitis: Bacterial infection affecting the teats of cows. Tested by presence of grown bacteria.
Horse Pull Drugs: Tests for the presence of performance enhancing drugs in horses by ELISA.
